Property Owners in Wales — Will you help a child affected by cancer have a much needed and deserved holiday?

Christian Lewis Trust, Children’s Cancer Charity is a national charity established in 1989 and aims to improve the quality of life for children, and their families, affected by cancer.

One of the services provided by the charity are holidays free-of-charge at one of the charity’s four luxury static caravans situated in various Holiday Parks in Wales. These breaks prove to be very popular and often we are unable to accommodate all the many requests that we receive. We hate having to disappoint children and families who so desperately need to get away from the continuous round of hospital stays and visits for the traumatic, and often painful, treatment for cancer. The opportunity to get away as a family and spend much needed quality time together is very precious to them.

We are asking whether you, as owners of rental properties, would perhaps be prepared to donate one week or even a few days each year to our charity to enable another child affected by cancer and their family to benefit from a much needed break at your holiday venue? Each family’s request to the charity is supported by a health professional or social worker, and every one of them is worthy of your support. You will bring immense joy not just to an ill or bereaved child; but also to the whole family.

A few days at a time convenient to you is all that it takes. Or we could contact you should we have a deserving family we are unable to accommodate, and maybe you could come to the rescue!

Brief History of the Trust

In 1989 a small group of families had a vision — to help and support families, who, like themselves, are affected by a child with cancer.

Now, for more than 18 years, it is still that same simple aim and vision that is the backbone of the Trust.

Over the years, the way in which the Trust helps families has broadened, from emotional and practical support for the whole family such as befriending and bereavement support to Play Therapy and holidays in Florida.

The Christian Lewis Trust believes quality of life for children with cancer is a right, to work with them and their families is a privilege.
